Whether you are a visitor coming for B&B, a local looking for a decent pint of Jennings or a hungry walker needing a good meal, you will be given a warm welcome at this family-run former coaching inn that dates back to the 17th century. Situated just off the town´s cobbled market place, the Kings Head has a walled garden and a bowling green, popular with club members and visitors alike. Our unique feature is a well that was discovered in the bar area relatively recently.

Our bowling green is now open for the season. Come and play for £3. Our bowls parties, with pie and pea supper, are very popular. All year round, we have a fun quiz on Tuesdays and can offer golfers a dinner, B&B package including 2 rounds of golf for under £100 per person.
